Weathered Hydrangea

At long last, it seems winter is finally upon us. Somehow, we’ve managed to escape until now with very little accumulation, but it looks like it’s settling in to stay around for a while. Sad sad.

I found this shot wandering around my neighborhood before the snow set in. Flowers are always one of my favorite things to shoot, but sadly, are quite scarce this time of year. Imagine my glee at having found these little guys clinging on to their branches months after blooming, preserved by the chilly past couple months. Such endurance!
